Designing is my thing. Web design mixed with a little graphic design is what I like to do. A short list of my experience includes Front End web programming and design, Flash web and mobile apps and games, photo retouching, and vinyl vehicle and sign design. I currently attend the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point majoring in Web and Digital Media Development. After graduating this May I plan on moving to Madison, WI to start my career.
Aside from web design I enjoy employing my creativity in music, specifically acoustic guitar.
For the capstone class for my major I am working with a group to create a prototype for a dental charting software. This project is in collaboration with Marshfield Clinic as our "client". The software is unique because we are removing the 2D charting dentists are used to and replacing it with a 3D aspect. It is also different than anything else because we are tailoring it specifically to the iPad. We are integrating multi-touch gestures based on the Apple HIG. This prototype will be built in Flash Builder and deployed in AIR to allow for use on multiple devices.
As a group project last semester I learned how to create a simple mobile game in Flash. This semester I am applying this new knowledge to my own mobile game I'll be creating in my free time. Unfortunately this game is on hold until I can get hold of the latest version of Flash.
As another side project this semester I plan on creating a custom WordPress blog that also connects to my Twitter feed.
